Seagate FreeAgent Go 320GB hard drive review

  by Stuart Miles (pocket-lint.com) - Oct, 2008

pocket-lint.com

Need a large amount of storage but not got the space? Then Seagate believes it has the solution with its latest portable hard drive the FreeAgent Go, but does it? We get data transferring (oh exciting) to find out. While we admit that portable hard...

Small, stylish, fast, cheap

USB cable short

Hard drives maybe boring, but this one goes some way to making them a little bit sexier

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Slim 320GB review

  by Madana Prathap (pcadvisor.co.uk) - Aug, 2011

pcadvisor.co.uk

Seagate touts its FreeAgent GoFlex Slim 320GB as the world's slimmest portable hard drive. Not content with just that, the drive also offers a USB 3.0 data interface, to offer fast transfer speeds too.

The GoFlex Slim 320GB is a worthy buy for high-end ultra-portable laptop users who travel frequently and want minimum space/weight addition. It is also good if you'd like to show your peers that you have a really thin external HDD. In any case, this...

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex TV

  by Ardjuna Seghers (trustedreviews.com) - Nov, 2010

trustedreviews.com

Can Seagate successfully take on Western Digital in the compact HD media player arena?

While not without a few niggles and rough edges, Seagate's FreeAgent GoFlex TV is a versatile and affordable media player that will play back nearly every video you might throw at it.

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Net review

  by Jon L Jacobi (pcadvisor.co.uk) - Sep, 2010

pcadvisor.co.uk

The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Net is a USB storage sharing device that looks a little like the upper couple of inches of a compact black toaster.

Many users will appreciate being able to plug SATA drives directly into a Pogo-enabled dock. Our only complaint with the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Net is it has only one USB port, though you can work around that (as we did) with a powered USB hub.

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex TV review

  by Yardena Arar, (pcadvisor.co.uk) - Aug, 2010

pcadvisor.co.uk

Looking for a versatile media streamer that can handle music, photos, and videos from your home network and the internet? The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex TV is one of the best in a growing field of attractive candidates.

We found the FreeAgent GoFlex TV to be serviceable, with easy setup and a large selection of internet content as major pluses. It is on the slow side, however, and the interface could be better (especially for accessing settings). For a little more, we...

Seagate Freeagent Go Flex

A flexible portable hard disk

Relatively expensive to change adapters but good for those who need the flexibility of using one disk with different transfer ports

Seagate Freeagent Go Flex TV streaming player

  by Jonathan Parkyn (computeractive.co.uk) - Aug, 2010

computeractive.co.uk

Watch and listen to media from a PC on your TV

Supports high definition up to 1080p; streams from web services such as Youtube and Picasa; wide format support

No built-in wireless networking; unresponsive remote; poorly implemented interface; no HDMI cable included

The small, neat Go Flex TV can play a wide range of file types and formats but is saddled with a poor interface and a cheap remote

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 500GB USB 2.0 review

  by (expertreviews.co.uk) - Jul, 2010

expertreviews.co.uk

The FreeAgent GoFlex, Seagate's latest portable hard disk, comes with a removable USB2 adapter instead of a fixed USB2 port. It can be unplugged and replaced with a range of faster interface adapters – namely eSATA, FireWire 800 or USB3.

The FreeAgent GoFlex is neatly designed, but a standard USB3 portable disk is more than good enough for most people.

Seagate Freeagent Go 500GB review

  by (expertreviews.co.uk) - Jul, 2010

expertreviews.co.uk

The appearance of the Freeagent Go series of portable USB hard disks hasn't changed much since we last saw one a year ago. The 500GB model still has the same slender grey and white appearance of its processors with a spiral pattern at the front which...

Seagate's 500GB Freeagent Go is quick and reasonably priced, but there's little to set it apart from the competition.

Seagate FreeAgent Go 320GB review

  by Madana Prathap, (pcadvisor.co.uk) - Apr, 2010

pcadvisor.co.uk

The Seagate FreeAgent Go USB hard drive has sleek looks and the possibility to be sited in a convenient desktop dock.

The Seagate FreeAgent Go distinguishes itself with its sleek looks, unconventional disk activity LED, wide choice of colours, and an optional docking station (Go Dock). Pricing is in line with the segment, and wide availability helps too.

seagate go-flex 2tb

  by mj (amazon.co.uk) - Jan, 2012

Utter waste of money. Performance of the simply awful s/w that comes with it makes the backup mechanism almost unusable and the host PC slows to the point of being unusable also. For example, the initial backup of several folders totalling 20gb took...

Miserable SEAGATE network HD

  by ugunt (amazon.co.uk) - Jan, 2012

This product has a complicated network interface that is probably well suitable for windows but requires a lot of work to make it work with Mac and linux. The product is poorly designed and I cannot recommend it to Mac/linux users.

Useful gadget

Not a techie, but was advised to gt this for backup... quietly reassuring as it backs up automatically on a regular basis, as you go. Neat, quiet and stylish, good value for money as it will take forever to fill it up!
