I drop it frequently. And it still works

So far, it's a very convenient little external HDD. It definitely goes as fast as the USB 2.0 interface can allow it; ~30MB/s read/write for large files. I was just thinking of using it to backup my files, but after seeing it, this thing is portable...

There have been complaints about the case being too tight. Its leather and molds around the HD after sitting in it for a little. Not a big deal.

This little HD isnt too shabby, It fits in the palm of your hand and was worth the $40. A great small storage addition

Shrunk the existing FAT32 partition and added NTFS partitions for laptop cloning. Didn't even touch the included software. 13-14 MBps NTFS partition cloning 7-8 MBps mass file tranfer from NTFS -> FAT32

Got one of these for my Samsung R580 as I am going to replace the internal HD with a SSD. This will address all my storage needs and coupled with this R580, I'm going to be the new PR person for Samsung ;)

You can never ever go wrong with a Samsung product. Very sleek and compact, perfect for desktop or laptop use. Transferred about 5GB over, with a decent transfer rate of about 12MB/s. Can't ask for much more

Comes formatted as FAT32. 5400RPM is kind of slow but for my uses, that is more than adequate

Before placing files onto drive, I did format to NTFS.

Very easy to use. Backed up 24 Gigs from my laptop today and it took about 25 minutes. Very quiet and feels well built

Would be nice to not have to also carry around a USB cable to be able to use the drive. either have it built in or include a case that can hold it ; The bottom is not rubber despite what it looks like in the pictures, its hard plastic and doesn't grip...
