Saitek P2900 Wireless Gamepad

  by Christoph Miklos (gamezoom.net) - Apr, 2006

gamezoom.net

Saitek hat uns vor ein paar Wochen das P2600 Gamepad zukommen lassen und diese Woche durften wir bereits...

viele Tasten ; Preis ; Plug&Play ; Verarbeitung ; sehr genaue Analogsticks ; Design ; lange Batterielaufzeit ; Wireless-Technik

nicht gut geeignet für kleine Hände ; Steuerkreuz etwas happig zu bedienen ; keine Rumple-Funktion

Technisch gesehen bringt das P2900 alle positiven, aber auch negativen Punkte des P2600 mit sich.

Saitek P2900 Wireless

  by (pcmweb.nl) - Apr, 2006

De P2900 Wireless is Saiteks draadloze gamepad.

Speelt lekker. + Robuust. + Extra mogelijkheden. + Goede draadloze verbinding.

Fps-modus wellicht wat overbodig.

De gamepad van Saitek speelt lekker, ondersteunt alle spellen moeiteloos en werkt erg goed. Aanrader!

Saitek PP19 P2900 Wireless Pad - Retail

  by N/A (newegg.com) - May, 2008

newegg.com

ps3 controller is better imo

It is a good wireless pad for the price. It lasted me 2 years before I let someone borrow it and it disappeared forever.

I was never too fond of the Dpad but I'll get over it for the price.

Defective Design, Avoid

  by FEJ (newegg.com) - Feb, 2008

newegg.com

What a pity... I love the size, shape, and feel of the controls on Saitek's gamepads. If only their wireless functionality was somewhat close to acceptable, this would be a great product.

Saitek's shape and size is well suited to large hands

Button presses/digital stick movements fail to register or get stuck, presumably due to radio problems. This occurs frequently and at close range, less than 10' from receiver to gamepad with a direct and clear line of sight ; Malfunction is observable...

Great Product

  by Leria (newegg.com) - Jan, 2008

This is a great product, but if it is a child who is going to be using this, be sure to get an extended warranty because it feels VERY light-weight and easily damaged.

Plugs in easily, Vista automatically recognizes it, no problems working with all programs thus far

A little light weight, appears to be kinda on the 'light construction' side, looks easily damaged

Not bad but not all that great.

  by Jim (newegg.com) - Sep, 2007

For what it is, for what it cost and for it what it's suppose to do, this gamepad delivers. I'm on the original battery so I cannot complain about battery life. All in all, not a bad gamepad. Has better than basic features and it is wireless which is...

Good gamepad. Typical layout. FPS shooter pretty cool. Wireless so no clutter

A couple of nits to pick here. I work on the road a lot and carry a laptop in an Ogio backpack (Ogio Rules!!!) and wanted a wireless device to keep clutter down. This pad fills that bill however there are somethings I don't like about it. One, it's a...

Never worked

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Aug, 2007

newegg.com

My wired P990 works fine. Bought this for another machine where wireless would have been nice. From the number of negative reviews on this product, it looks like it's just a poor choice.

Nice button layout, only one AA battery

Never worked. Gamepad "scans" but never syncs. Different USB ports, machines, batteries - none worked. Gamepad 1" from USB receiver - nothing. Returned for refund

Same problem as Eadwulf

  by wackaloon (newegg.com) - Jun, 2007

I loved this controller while it worked, even though it did chew through the batteries. Then POOF! No more connecting.

12 fully programmable buttons, great feel

After a few weeks, it just stopped connecting to the USB receiver.

Well, it lived up to my specifications...

  by Eadwulf (newegg.com) - May, 2007

I bought this as a replacement for my wired P880 pad, and it served me well for a while. However, this thing eats up batteries like crazy. I've often had to switch out batteries as frequent as once a week. Then there's the issues with how it basically...

12 buttons. What gamer could say no to that? -Very easy to install/setup, no problems with incompatibility on XP -The profiling software is very handy and very detailed, and the way it opened up the range of playable games was enough to receive merit

Hangs or lags more than occasionally -Short battery life -Completely burned out after about 6 months -Analogues can be awkward to use

All this and only ONE battery!

  by Norm Cash (amazon.com) - Aug, 2008

All this and only ONE battery!

I use this gamepad for most of my PC gaming. I have not experienced any issues that others have written about. Range is fine. I'm not across the room, but am maybe three to four feet from the receiver with the gamepad. I am not a fan of vibrating...

Good gamepad

  by Matt K. (amazon.com) - Aug, 2008

Good gamepad

I use this to play console emulators on my desk top. The software that is included makes mapping the buttons for different systems/games easy. I do feel that interface could be a little more user friendly. There are time at certain angles that it...
