Just Awful

  by D. Arnold (amazon.co.uk) - Feb, 2012

Definitely style over substance. It looks good - and that is the only positive thing to say about this item. Shame on you Philips, this item is not worth the money. I don't know how it passed your testing stage. The radio sound is awful and you can...

Not good

  by jme (amazon.co.uk) - Feb, 2012

The buzzer comes on in the background when the alarm is set to radio. Philips are aware of this and it is one of the FAQs on their website. They advise re-tuning to another station as a "fix". This is absolute nonsense and shows what Philips think of...

Beautiful but disappointing

  by Mr. J. F. Rogers "Jolly John" (amazon.co.uk) - Feb, 2012

If the important thing is the mp3 aux connection DO NOT BUY ! Too poor to use - no volume whatsoever and the sound from the radio reminded me of the old transistor radios of the 60's - very poor quality (crackly and tinny !). However, the design and...

Looks good but has a number of irritations. The display is very bright with no way of dimming it down so is quite intrusive. Because it has dual alarm settings it has an extra button on top to re-set the alram for the next user. Unfortunately the top...

looks good, has a choice of 2 volumes of alarm, both almost inaudible. To alter any of the controls you need small and careful fingers. Not designed with any thought as to its use. But lloks good!

Terrible Alarm and Sound Quality

Terrible Alarm and Sound Quality

Bought this clock from Argos. Glad I did cause it's easy to return. Main reason was for the MP3 playback. Oh boy, the volume is very quiet and the sound quality is terrible like a cheap 1970's transistor AM radio. The alarm is so quiet that there is no...

Great Clock

Great Clock

As some of the other reviews seem to do this clock a diservice I just thought I'd post my findings. Basically, it looks good, has a small 'footprint' so takes up little space on a bedside cabinet and sounds fine for its use as a bedside radio/alarm. ...
