arrived broken

  by Sling (newegg.com) - Jul, 2010

I'm building a machine to run Avid Media composer (it's my first build). Windows wouldn't install properly. I gave the computer to two more tech savy friends and finally brought it to a computer repair store. He took a weeke to figure out that this...

the card arrived defective and by the time the technician finally figured it out my window for RMA expired

Works Great

  by riveter (newegg.com) - Jan, 2010

I use it for a CAD workstation and it works fine. I don't work with really large assemblies, so I have not noticed any deficiency in the card. So for what I do, it's a good card for the money

eggcellent

Never used PNY before, but it seems you have little choice when shopping for Quadros. - Again, I have no feedback concerning it's performance in games or 3D design or anything else really. I bought it with the sole intention of running video editing...

Does just what I wanted it to--run Avid. This card is the lowest end graphics card that Avid's system specs require ; Sleek, doesn't take up two slots like most gfx cards these days--yet fairly solid in build and seems high quality--as I would hope for...

Only problem I've had is that Photoshop doesn't like it and complains that it's not a good enough card and turns off some things. I go back into preferences and turn them back on (it's openGL acceleration or advanced effects or something or other) and...

Solid CAD Workstation Card

  by RC (newegg.com) - Jan, 2009

I use SolidWorks and have always used PNY Quadro cards. I guess I don't have anything to compare them to but from all of the information I have gathered about SolidWorks workstations and the amount of trouble I have had with my Vid Cards there is no...

Entry Level

  by Joe (newegg.com) - Nov, 2008

If you are learning some 3D software or only use 2D it is a decent card. If you will be using 3D software half the time or more then I have one thing to say: DO NOT CHEAP OUT. Go for a more high range product or you will definitely regret it. My...

It is capable of basic 3D CAD work ; Runs great on 2D CAD work ; Fair price ; It runs on Vista ; Has not broken

Slow. Even on basic models this has trouble. Even worse on Vista ; The Nvidia website will even tell you this is for entry level ; (I wish we would have listened to them)

Nice card

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Oct, 2008

Make sure you restart the computer after each driver is installed or you will get strange behavior. Very nice card for what it was designed to do.

All drivers for Vista 64 were available from the site. Very nice card for engineering and video editing. Runs the full Vista Aero experience fine. It registers as a 5.0 for Graphics and a 5.2 for gaming graphics, even though it is not a gaming card....

The mobo would not POST with this card in the slot. Had to use the onboard video to change a BIOS setting in order for it to default to PCI express. The card then worked fine. Strange settings at first, where Vista did not recognize it and turned off...

NewTek: LightWave 3D

Save your money up, and get a higher CPU (Processor) Trust me!!!

Cheap, but not cheap enough

Doesn't work at all with NewTek's products, such as LightWave 3D. Do NOT get this if your going to use LightWave 3D

Eye Candy Video card

  by Gandor (newegg.com) - Jul, 2008

newegg.com

Perhaps the Egg could explain (in a nutshell) the difference between mainstream 8xxx and 9xxxx "performance" cards and what Quadro stands for, a bit more transparent on their web site? Just a suggestion to avoid unnecessary RMA's ?

After reading all reviews about the FX570, I feel that it is time to set the record straight. It occurs to me that the worst comments come from people who think that Quadro's are somehow professional gaming cards, well guess what, Quadro's are designed...

If you install this card in XP, or 2K DON'T use the drivers on the CD that comes with the card, it will most likely hose your XP OS ; Use instead the latest Unified QUADRO WHQL drivers from NVidia's website
