We all know that the first video cards supporting DirectX 10 appeared in the end of 2006. They were top products from NVIDIA (GeForce 8800 GTX is still the fastest card (it even has an overclocked modification - 8800 Ultra)). The Californian company...

ATI's new Radeon HD 2400 XT comes with the RV610 GPU which is built in 65nm. This means the GPU is cheap to make and consumes very little power. AMD has also added several new power savings features which makes this card one of the least power hungry...
UVD for Highdef video acceleration, Competitive price, Quiet - temperature controlled fan, Modest power consumption, DirectX 10 + Shader Model 4.0 Support, CrossFire capable
Very limited gaming performance
With a price of only $79 for the XT version and even less for the Pro version, the HD 2400 XT is sitting in a niche that is mainly reserved for office PCs. However, it does include advanced features like DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0 which are...

Pretty good..
I could play most of the latest new games, on the Microsoft XP edition. Most oft the times i play the games with this card on medium settings with only a little bit of lag. It also runs Online games pretty well such as: Ether Saga and Runescape.

In response to the first review, yes this is a slimline card. Homework should be done PRIOR to buying cards. It takes a matter of seconds to see that this card fits in slimline towers and is thus low-profile. For those saying that it's ancient, it is....

I just wanted to warn people that I think this card is a total dinosaur, not even worth considering.
Cheap
This card is 4 generations behind current technology. How much longer do you think AMD will supply drivers for them? Why would anyone buy this card, when they could get an much better HD 4550, 5450, or 6450 for the same price or less, just by waiting...

Uses a lot of memory to run. Would suggest purchasing memory in addition.
